I doubt he gets more than 2% in any state, assuming his campaign is still alive by next January.

I don't get why so many candidates who have no chance are trying out this year.

When I called to set up new account, I made rep confirm that previous owner settled bill thru closing date but this bill includes previous owner's usage so I now need to visit Natl Grid office to provide proof I am new owner etc. What a huge PITA.

Customer confirmed other rep messed up setting up my account but the onus still falls on me to resolve their error else I am stuck with the bill. So I gave them some nasty feedback for the shitty service.

Both the gas and power split the bill into two parts for the fuel/power you consume, and the cost of the infrastructure to deliver it to you.

In theory, the delivery rates should stay fairly constant while the supply costs will vary with the market.
In the case of electricity, you can select who your supplier is, but the delivery is always through Con-Ed.

OK, so my next question is why are so many right donors willing to throw so much money away on candidates who have no chance of winning?

For existing senators/governors I understand, but what do you get by throwing money at Santorum or Huckabee?
I'm sure they still have plenty of connections, but it seems like there have to be much more efficient and cost effective methods to achieve the same results.

I had a lovely dinner with my Mom at La Vara last night. We got there before our reservation, but the place was basically empty. When we left it was still relatively empty.

Our waitress was really sweet, but not as knowledgable about the menu, the specials or the pricing.

I remember being much more impressed with the waitstaff previously. The food was still delicious.

I'm not a huge fan of the ignore feature, but at the end of the day I think it's about letting each user customize how they view the site.

There is also a long history of "ignore" and similar features on the Internet, pre-dating the web with usenet killfiles.

I spent perhaps 2 hours writing and troubleshooting the feature, and here it is.
